Paintings
Colours, light, texture and luminosity are key components of my still life paintings. There is a nod to the Dutch Old Masters of the 17th century in my latest work, and conversely to the graphic impact of modern posters.
I work from life, and photographs I take of flowers growing in gardens (so they can carry on with the good work), and in some instances grow my own plants especially to paint.
I work on panel, normally plywood or recycled wood, and have designed the panels so no frame is required in the final finished product, to help reduce the impact of materials used in the making of each artwork.
